About The Position

Internships at Veolia: Gain hands-on experience in a certified Environmental Laboratory that tests drinking water and wastewater. Our aim is to provide tangible industry job experience to each intern.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED is required.
• Working towards a four year degree in Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science or Related Major and should be in Senior status in their education.
• 3.0 Cumulative G.P.A required.
• Strong analytical and communication skills, including written, verbal, listening, presentation and facilitation skills.
• Demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine tasks in Laboratory, such as monitoring of the Laboratory’s Deionized Water unit, washing and sterilizing tubes, plates, dishes, etc., used in Laboratory examinations of water samples.
• May assist in research or special projects in a variety of areas to fulfill business initiatives and meet business objectives.
• May assist with Laboratory analysis.
• Prepares media for bacterial examination of water.
• Operates the Laboratory’s steam autoclave.
• Updates Safety Data Sheet central file.
