About The Position

In this hands-on role, you will help maintain laboratory readiness by preparing materials, operating laboratory equipment, managing supplies, and supporting contamination-control activities. You’ll be part of the Microbiology Operations team within our North Haven Laboratory Services department and will play an important role in supporting laboratory activities that help ensure the safety, quality, and reliability of life-changing medical technologies used by patients around the world. We are working a minimum of 5 days per week onsite as part of our commitment to collaboration, innovation, and delivering extraordinary outcomes for patients.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • U.S. work authorization at the time of hire and for the duration of employment (for roles below Principal level)
  • Basic computer and documentation skills
  • Ability to work independently on routine tasks and effectively within a team environment

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree or coursework in Biology, Microbiology, Life Sciences, Laboratory Science, or a related field
  • Previous experience in a laboratory, manufacturing, healthcare, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or regulated environment
  • Familiarity with cleanroom practices (ISO 17025 compliance standards), Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), or quality systems
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written procedures

Responsibilities

  • Support daily laboratory operations that enable microbiological testing and environmental monitoring activities
  • Prepare, sterilize, and stage laboratory materials, media, glassware, and consumables for testing teams
  • Operate and maintain laboratory equipment such as autoclaves, incubators, depyrogenation ovens, and glassware washers following approved procedures
  • Monitor and replenish laboratory supplies to ensure materials are available when needed
  • Perform routine cleaning, gowning, and contamination-control activities within laboratory and cleanroom environments
  • Maintain organized, clean, and inspection-ready laboratory workspaces
  • Accurately document laboratory activities in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs), Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), and quality requirements
  • Follow all safety, biosafety, and laboratory compliance procedures
  • Identify and communicate equipment, inventory, or workspace issues to appropriate team members
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support efficient laboratory operations and testing schedules
