About The Position

Intel is hiring a Lab Operations Manager to lead a team delivering reliable, scalable, and efficient lab operations that support engineering development and validation. The manager will help ramp a new Data Center Group (DCG) PSE/SSL Lab Operations team for Chandler DCG Labs and work with engineering, infrastructure, IT, and business partners to ensure lab environments, equipment, and services meet business needs. The role drives operational excellence and continuous improvement while supporting development of high-performing labs and teams. The position includes standardizing site lab operations, processes, and tools; managing infrastructure, equipment, assets, logistics, networking, and support services; and partnering with engineering teams on development, integration, testing, and validation. The manager establishes priorities and performance metrics, manages resources and capacity, supports budgeting and lab growth, and ensures compliance with environmental, health, safety, security, and quality standards. The role also influences operational roadmaps and investments in support of long-term organizational objectives. This is an experienced-hire role requiring on-site presence in Phoenix, Arizona. Intel states that the position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship. The annual US target compensation range is $137,610 to $227,270; individual pay depends on work location and job-related factors.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, IT, Computer Science, Operations Management, or a related field, or 5+ years of equivalent experience.
5+ years of experience managing laboratory, engineering, data center, or technical operations.
5+ years of experience with lab infrastructure, hardware systems, networking, asset management, and IT support.
5+ years of experience with safety, quality, compliance, audits, equipment calibration, and process improvement.
At least 1 year of experience with any 3 or more DCG PSE/SSL standardized tools: ServiceNow, SAP, iConsole, LaMP, AGS, HSD-ES, ISM, or SharePoint.
Strategic planning, ownership, accountability, collaboration, customer focus, operational excellence, problem-solving, communication, adaptability, and initiative.

Nice To Haves

Experience developing operational strategies and roadmaps.
Experience ramping a new team from scratch to support lab operations.
AI adoption experience, including CoPilot, Gemini, and GitHub.

Responsibilities

Ramp a new DCG PSE/SSL Lab Operations team for Chandler DCG Labs.
Standardize DCG lab operations at the site, including processes and tools for infrastructure, equipment, asset management, logistics, networking, and support services.
Drive operational excellence through process improvement, automation, and standardization.
Partner with engineering teams to support development, integration, testing, and validation activities.
Manage lab assets and resources to ensure availability, efficiency, and compliance.
Establish operational priorities, performance metrics, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Collaborate across organizations to address challenges, remove barriers, and deliver business results.
Support strategic planning, capacity management, budgeting, and future lab growth.
Ensure compliance with environmental, health, safety, security, and quality standards.
Influence operational roadmaps and investments that support long-term organizational objectives.
