About The Position

This role involves performing analyses to determine desired maintenance parts inventory for critical operational equipment, interfacing with equipment vendors for service recommendations and quotations, overseeing database development and management projects (parts inventory, pipe database, warehouse inventory), and assisting with lab operation improvement projects focused on safety, functionality, and maintenance. The ideal candidate defines issues, maps out processes, manages uncertainty, and streamlines processes. This is a co-op position for students pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or related technical discipline
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States
  • Sophomore standing or above
  • Ability to work full-time during the co-op term
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings

Nice To Haves

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering
  • GPA of 2.5 or higher
  • Proficient written and verbal communication
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and apply new technology
  • Basic understanding of electronic instrumentation/equipment as well as knowledge of analog and digital communication signals
  • Programming skills with industrial automation software such as DeltaV

Responsibilities

  • Perform analyses to determine desired maintenance parts inventory for critical operational equipment
  • Interface with equipment vendors to obtain equipment service recommendations, parts lists, and quotations
  • Oversee database development and management projects such as parts inventory, pipe database, and warehouse inventory management
  • Assist with Lab operation improvement projects targeting safety, functionality, and maintenance.
