Lab Manager – Microsoft Garage Cambridge

About The Position

The Lab Manager oversees all makerspace operations for the Microsoft Garage in Cambridge, ensuring equipment readiness, EHS compliance, and an efficient, safe innovation environment. Responsibilities include daily lab opening/closing, preventive maintenance of fabrication and electronics tools, training users on equipment, maintaining inventory and procurement lists, enforcing lab rules, documenting safety and operational procedures, and providing hands-on support during workshops, demos, and hackathons. The Lab Manager partners closely with Garage Program Managers and Microsoft stakeholders to enable prototyping, events, and hands-on learning experiences as outlined in the Garage Managed Services SOW. Compensation at DXC is influenced by an array of factors, including but not limited to the experience, job-related knowledge, skills, competencies, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. A reasonable estimate of the current compensation range for this position is $55,100 - $102,300. Full-time hires are eligible to participate in the DXC benefit program.
