About The Position

Responsibilities: Design, build, and iterate software prototypes that bring new ideas to life for Microsoft engineering, research, and business groups. Work closely with Garage Program Managers to understand project goals, success criteria, and technical constraints. Develop clean, maintainable, and scalable code using modern frameworks and tools aligned to Microsoft technology stacks. Collaborate with Lab Managers to scope technical feasibility, define architecture, and identify risks early in the project cycle. Participate in design discussions, project reviews, and technical explorations with internal and Microsoft stakeholders. Build proof-of-concepts rapidly while maintaining high technical quality and documentation standards. Support Garage hackathon initiatives, workshops, and learning programs through technical mentorship and prototype development. Ensure proper source control, security, and compliance practices are followed as defined by Microsoft policies. Contribute to continuous improvement of Garage engineering practices, tooling, and development workflows. Qualifications: 5+ years of experience in software development. Strong proficiency in one or more of the following: C#, .NET, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, React, or similar modern frameworks. Experience building prototypes, MVPs, or product features in fast-paced environments. Ability to translate ambiguous ideas into technical solutions. Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with designers, PMs, and engineers Compensation at DXC is influenced by an array of factors, including but not limited to the experience, job-related knowledge, skills, competencies, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. A reasonable estimate of the current compensation range for this position is $63,400 - $117,600. Full-time hires are eligible to participate in the DXC benefit program. Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in software development.
