About The Position

Victaulic is seeking a Lab Associate – Inventory Clerk for their Engineering Research and Development Laboratory in Easton, PA. This is a full-time, 3-6 month contract position with the possibility of extension or permanent placement. The role involves maintaining raw and processed material inventory levels, ensuring efficient transfers of product, and assisting technical staff. The position reports to the Materials Supervisor. Requirements

Mechanical aptitude and high organizational skills.
Proficient in the use of computers, including all applicable inventory software.
Capable of assisting in the performance of all laboratory functions and following verbal and written instructions.
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel.

Nice To Haves

Associate and/or technical degree.
Proficiency in blueprint reading, shop math, and precision instrument operation (measurement instruments such as calipers, diameter measuring tapes, etc.).

Responsibilities

Inspect shipments of new stock, ensuring orders are correct and checking for damage.
Correlate incoming shipments to active work orders and mark items received.
Perform inventory control of lab raw materials, including daily tracking in the digital inventory database.
Coordinate with the logistics team on offsite storage.
Organize pipe stock inventory and help maintain minimum stocking levels.
Provide material cert traceability for all pipe delivered.
Recycle unwanted materials.
Use material handling equipment to move, inventory, store, and maintain materials.
Log and estimate hours using Liquid Planner (LP).
Maintain an efficient, professional, organized, and clean work area in accordance with Lean initiatives.
Follow all company safety requirements and procedures.
Prepare batches of product samples (including painting and assembly).
Prepare and apply shipping and mailing labels.
Maintain records and logs.
Double-check quantities to ensure amounts charged match amounts received.
Assist on the shop floor, including running a forklift and prepping parts.
Follow Engineering Department policies and procedures for the security and accessibility of electronic data and confidential information.
