About The Position

The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at Boise State University invites applications for a full-time Laboratory Instructor Position. The successful candidate will play a vital role in advancing the department’s instructional mission by teaching a combination of general, organic, or analytical chemistry laboratories. As well as spending five hours per week in the Chemistry Instructional Center (CIC), a drop-in tutoring center that supports all service chemistry courses. This position instructs four laboratory sections per semester and is required to attend pre-semester and weekly preparation meetings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry

Nice To Haves

  • M.S. or PhD in Chemistry or commensurate teaching experience
  • College teaching experience in general, organic, and/or analytical chemistry
  • College Chemistry GPA of greater than 3.2 on a 4.0 scale

Responsibilities
