The Laboratory Generalist 1 receives and prepares samples for laboratory analysis and tests, sets up instruments, runs tests and reads, interprets, and releases results. This role is responsible for receiving and preparing samples for laboratory analysis or sending out tests, performing startup and required maintenance on analyzers, conducting all required quality control per Quality Assurance guidelines, training in all areas according to Standard Operating Practices, entering and releasing results, participating in improving lab efficiency, quality, and cooperation, participating in all departmental training programs, and reconciling the pending list. The role also involves other duties as assigned. Associates are expected to conduct themselves in an ethical manner and hold each other accountable to the organization's values and standards, asking questions, seeking guidance, and reporting concerns or violations.
