Requirements

  • 3+ years driving experience.
  • Valid Driver’s License and reliable driving record required.
  • Ability to work on an on-call basis, including weekends and holidays.
  • Reliable Personal Transportation Required to/from Intertek location. Work vehicle provided for business use only.
  • Must have or be able to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC).

  • Be aware of, and adhere to, safety practices and policies to ensure your own safety, as well as the safety of others who may be affected by your actions at work.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, multi-tasking environment with shifting priorities and demanding deadlines.

  • Must possess the fundamental technical and administrative skills required to perform the job duties.

Responsibilities

  • Understand and adhere to Caleb Brett safety procedures.
  • Able to perform by specified methodology the below duties in addition to completing the associated paperwork.
  • Sampling of commodity materials contained or conveyed in lines, shore tanks, rail cars, tank trucks and vessels.
  • Driving company vehicle to pick-up and/or drop off samples to clients at various terminals and/or client locations.
  • Routinely interact with clients as deliveries and/or pick-ups are made.
  • Issue or obtain customer signature on receipt for pick-up or delivery.
  • Load and unload delivery vehicle.
  • Monitor routine maintenance for company vehicle and coordinate with manager if repairs are needed.
  • Verify and communicate the results obtained and make the entries into the appropriate media, whether print or electronic, required to ensure the validity and traceability of the information.
  • Communicate and coordinate with terminal, transport and company personnel to promote smooth exercise of duties assigned.
  • Monitor the availability of the supplies needed for the above processes, and to make any needs for such supplies known to the Dispatcher or Line Manager.
  • Organize and coordinate jobs so that services are rendered, and documentation and samples are submitted in a timely manner.
  • Maintain work areas, records and equipment in a clean, organized and functional condition.
