About The Position

Corewell Health William Beaumont University Hospital opened on Jan. 24, 1955 as a 238-bed community hospital. Today, the hospital is a 1,101-bed major academic and referral center with Level I adult trauma and Level II pediatric trauma designations. Corewell Health William Beaumont University Hospital has 43 residency and fellowship programs with 454 residents and fellows. Corewell is the exclusive clinical partner of the Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine, with more than 1,400 Beaumont doctors on faculty. This is a part-time position requiring work on Saturdays and Sundays from 3 PM to 11:30 PM, plus one four-hour shift during the week. The scope of work involves accurately sorting and distributing client reports and supplies, promptly picking up client specimens, responding to requests for stat service, and providing responsive and courteous service to Corewell Laboratory client needs. The role utilizes handheld devices to record all pick-up and delivery transactions.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent
Courier experience
LIC-Driver's License - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire required

Responsibilities

Accurately sorts and distributes client reports and supplies
Promptly picks-up client specimens
Responds to requests for stat service
Provides responsive and courteous service to Corewell Laboratory client needs
Uses handheld devices to record all pick-up and delivery transactions
