About The Position

Christian Hospital has a full-time (Night Shift) Lab Associate opportunity available. This position is a great opportunity for those interested in phlebotomy. Experience is preferred. The Lab Associate performs a variety of pre analytic, analytic and post analytic laboratory duties as assigned. This includes performing waived and moderate complex testing with appropriate training and competency, sweat chloride collections, EKGs, etc. Under supervision, the associate reports test results as appropriate. They will sort and process routine and specific high level specimens received by the lab, including multistep technical processing (i.e. Histology, Microbiology, Cytology, etc.), and ensure correct processing and packaging for esoteric send out tests. The role requires coordinating a simultaneous series of tasks accurately, including STAT orders and fluctuation in workload, prioritizing work to complete within scheduled hours and established turnaround times. Responsibilities also include inventory management, equipment cleaning, maintenance, and loading.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 2-5 years experience
• No Supervisor Experience

Nice To Haves

• Associate's Degree
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Phlebotomy certification
• 2 years of phlebotomy experience preferred
