About The Position

Christian Hospital has a full-time Lab Associate III opportunity for experienced candidates. The role is perfect for someone organized with great communication skills. The Lab Associate III performs a variety of pre analytic, analytic and post analytic laboratory duties as assigned. This position is responsible for performing waived and moderate complex testing with appropriate training and competency, sweat chloride collections, EKG's, etc. Under supervision, the associate will report test results as appropriate. They will also sort and process routine and specific high level specimens received by the lab, including multistep technical processing (i.e. Histology, Microbiology, Cytology, etc.), and ensure correct processing and packaging for esoteric send out tests. The role requires coordinating a simultaneous series of tasks accurately, including STAT orders and fluctuation in workload, prioritizing work to complete within scheduled hours and established turnaround times. Inventory management, equipment cleaning, maintenance, and loading are also key duties.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 2-5 years experience
• No Supervisor Experience

Nice To Haves

• Experience with phlebotomy
• Associate's Degree
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Phlebotomy certification

Responsibilities
