About The Position

Alton Memorial Hospital has a part-time Nights Lab Associate I opportunity. Looking for a lab tech with phlebotomy experience to work in a hospital setting. Hours and schedule - 3 nights a week 10:00PM -6:00AM. Rotating weekends every other week - 8:00PM -6:00AM. Benefits Eligible. Tuition Assistance. Professional Growth. Come join the BJC Team today! Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• No Experience
• No Experience (Supervisor Experience)
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Phlebotomy

Responsibilities

• Performs non-blood and blood specimen collection, specimen handling/routine processing and clerical duties associated with specimen collection.
• Perform phlebotomy, positive patient identification, and positive patient interaction, proper collection and specimen integrity.
• Coordinates a simultaneous series of tasks accurately, including STAT orders and fluctuation in workload, prioritizing work to complete within scheduled hours and established turnaround times.
• Interacts with lab, clinical and other ancillary departments.
