About The Position

Missouri Baptist in Sullivan, MO has an opportunity for a Lab Associate I to work full-time phlebotomy position. This is a great opportunity to work in a hospital setting with opportunities to develop your career. The position involves performing non-blood and blood specimen collection, specimen handling/routine processing, and clerical duties associated with specimen collection. The lab is a full-service CAP certified laboratory, open 24/7, performing a variety of tests and providing blood bank services with an outpatient drawing room.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• No Experience
• No Experience (Supervisor Experience)
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Phlebotomy

Nice To Haves

• <2 years experience
• < 2 years supervisor experience

Responsibilities

• Perform phlebotomy, positive patient identification, and positive patient interaction, proper collection and specimen integrity.
• Coordinates a simultaneous series of tasks accurately, including STAT orders and fluctuation in workload, prioritizing work to complete within scheduled hours and established turnaround times.
• Interacts with lab, clinical and other ancillary departments.
