Job Summary: Perform routine chemistry testing and related laboratory activities to support clinical trials research, ensuring accurate results, timely turnaround times, and compliance with SOPs and regulatory requirements. This role provides evening coverage to maintain continuous instrument loading and post‑analysis sample management.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Basic knowledge of chemistry laboratory principles, instrumentation, and analytical techniques
  • Working knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and laboratory safety procedures
  • Ability to follow detailed procedures and maintain accurate, timely documentation
  • Basic computer skills and ability to work within laboratory information systems
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify inconsistencies in data
  • Effective communication and collaboration with cross‑functional stakeholders
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, frequent standing and walking, occasional sitting, close eye work requirement (computer, typing, reading small prints).
  • Occasional exposure to cold temperatures.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biology, or medical laboratory technology may be required for certain CAP/CLIA laboratories
  • Other equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be accepted in lieu of degree

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine chemistry analyses and document results in accordance with SOPs and regulatory guidelines
  • Evaluate analytical results using laboratory computer system algorithms to ensure data validity
  • Identify, document, and escalate potential errors or atypical results to senior laboratory personnel
  • Prepare buffers and solutions required for laboratory analyses
  • Support continuous instrument loading and timely post‑analysis sample and reagent storage
  • Assist with secondary review of analytical results when signed off as competent
  • Maintain laboratory housekeeping in alignment with 6S standards and safety requirements
