About The Position

Eurofins Scientific is an international life sciences company providing a unique range of analytical testing services to clients across multiple industries. The Lab Assistant position is responsible for assisting laboratory personnel to ensure day-to-day operations run smoothly. This role involves demonstrating and promoting the company vision, maintaining regular attendance and punctuality, and applying GMP/GLP in all areas of responsibility as appropriate. Key duties include disposing of samples, managing glassware and pipettes (washing and putting away clean items), and maintaining a clean and safe laboratory work environment. All activities must be conducted in a safe and efficient manner, and the employee will perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Ability to accurately read and record results
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to learn new tasks
• Ability to think critically and solve problems quickly and efficiently
• Will be exposed to potential food allergens.
• Reside within a commutable distance to Madison, WI lab.

Nice To Haves

• Expected to understand the process for handling hazardous wastes and receive on-the-job training for handling specific waste types in their job area
• Mandatory immunizations and screening as required

Responsibilities
