About The Position

This is a part-time position working 24 hours per week on an evening shift basis starting at 12pm. Responsibilities include performing sample processing and exempt screening and monitoring tests in accordance with CMS (CLIA '88), OSHA and other applicable regulatory, established standards. The role also involves performing venipunctures where applicable, and obtaining/preparing blood specimens in accordance with Piedmont policies and procedures. Additionally, the Lab Assistant will assist technical staff in non-clinical tasks.

Requirements

• H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
• No experience required

Nice To Haves

• 1 year of experience as a phlebotomist
• Experience in performing EKGs
• Experience working in healthcare or clinical laboratory setting
• CPT - Phlebotomy Technician Certification
• Phlebotomy certification through ASCP, ASPT, NCA or equivalent agency

Responsibilities
