About The Position

This position is working every Friday-Sunday from 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM. The Lab Assistant performs sample processing and exempt screening and monitoring tests in accordance with CMS (CLIA '88), OSHA, and other applicable regulatory and established standards. The role also involves performing venipunctures at applicable entities and obtaining/preparing blood specimens in accordance with Piedmont policies and procedures. Additionally, the Lab Assistant assists technical staff in non-clinical tasks.

Requirements

• H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
• No experience required

Nice To Haves

• 1 year of experience as a phlebotomist
• Experience in performing EKGs
• Experience working in healthcare or clinical laboratory setting
• CPT - Phlebotomy Technician Certification Phlebotomy certification through ASCP, ASPT, NCA or equivalent agency

Responsibilities
