About The Position

The Lab Assistant performs sample processing and exempt screening and monitoring tests in accordance with CMS (CLIA '88), OSHA and other applicable regulatory, established standards. This role also involves performing venipunctures at applicable entities and obtaining/preparing blood specimens according to Piedmont policies and procedures. Additionally, the Lab Assistant assists technical staff with non-clinical tasks.

Requirements

• H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
• No experience required

Nice To Haves

• 1 year of experience as a phlebotomist
• Experience in performing EKGs
• Experience working in healthcare or clinical laboratory setting
• CPT - Phlebotomy Technician Certification Phlebotomy certification through ASCP, ASPT, NCA or equivalent agency

Responsibilities
