About The Position
As a Laboratory Assistant, you'll be an essential part of the diagnostic process by ensuring specimens are collected, processed, and delivered accurately so providers have the information they need to deliver exceptional patient care. Accurate laboratory results begin with exceptional specimen collection. Your work directly supports physicians in diagnosing and treating patients, making a meaningful difference in the care they receive every day.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Current BLS Certification required
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent customer service skills
Nice To Haves
- Phlebotomy or laboratory experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Collect and process patient specimens
- Perform venipuncture and specimen handling
- Prepare specimens for testing and transport
- Enter patient information accurately into the laboratory information system (LIS)
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and clinical staff
- Maintain laboratory quality and safety standards
