About The Position

Find your purpose at CentraCare as a Lab Assistant / Phlebotomist! Our Phlebotomist position is great for someone entering the healthcare industry and/or laboratory profession. We provide on-the-job phlebotomy skills training for this role. Current students and individuals with minimal experience are encouraged to apply. Our Lab Assistant is a great second step within the laboratory setting. Lab Assistants will have demonstrable knowledge of basic chemistry tests, hematology, urinalysis and have basic venipuncture and capillary collection skills. Lab Assistants may perform low complexity testing, culture set-up, diagnostic coding, patient registration. Current students and others with some lab experience would be a great match for this role! You will play a crucial role in patient care by collecting blood and other biologic samples from patients. You will assist in creating an atmosphere of trust and confidence, ensuring patients feel comfortable and secure during the process.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Knowledge of medical terminology.
Basic computer skills.

Nice To Haves

Graduate from or in the process of pursuing a degree from an accredited laboratory or medicine-related program.
