The Laboratory Assistant – Phlebotomist is responsible for collecting, receiving, and distributing specimens within the laboratory, as well as the operation of anticipated laboratory equipment. Requirements

  • Minimum two (2) years of phlebotomy experience.
  • High School Diploma/ GED or equivalent.
  • Graduation from Phlebotomist Tech training program.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong critical thinking, judgment, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to operate lab equipment.
  • Proficient in human venipuncture techniques.
  • Excellent analytical and organization skills.
  • Excellent critical thinking judgment, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, vigilance, poise, and composure in stressful situations.
  • Knowledge of computer systems and software used in functional area.
  • Certified Phlebotomist Tech 1

Nice To Haves

  • Two (2) or more years of infant and children blood collection experience.
  • Previous experience with Good Lab Practice.
  • Completion of some college level courses.
