About The Position

The Laboratory Assistant – Phlebotomist is responsible for collecting, receiving, and distributing specimens within the laboratory, as well as the operation of anticipated laboratory equipment.

Requirements

• Minimum two (2) years of phlebotomy experience
• High School Diploma/ GED or equivalent
• Graduation from Phlebotomist Tech training program
• Certified Phlebotomist Tech 1
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong critical thinking, judgment, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to operate lab equipment
• Proficient in human venipuncture techniques
• Excellent analytical and organization skills
• Strong attention to detail, vigilance, poise, and composure in stressful situations
• Knowledge of computer systems and software used in functional area

Nice To Haves

• Two (2) or more years of infant and children blood collection experience
• Previous experience with Good Lab Practice
• Completion of some college level courses
