About The Position

The Laboratory Department is seeking a Phlebotomist to draw blood samples, prepare specimens for laboratory testing, and complete clerical duties that support efficient department operations. Duties include order entry, result lookup, report generation, and responding to internal and external calls in a friendly and helpful manner. The position is based at Clermont Hospital and requires travel to off-site locations.

Requirements

• High school degree or GED.
• Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to engage professionally with staff and patients.
• Ability to travel to off-site locations.

Nice To Haves

• Phlebotomist certification.
• One year of phlebotomy experience.
• Customer service experience in a retail or service environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service by greeting patients and community members respectfully.
• Collect specimens from patients according to established procedures and ensure they are properly processed.
• Accurately identify patients and match each patient's identity with the correct service.
• Enter data and process specimens by labeling, centrifuging, splitting, and freezing them as requested by test orders.
• Perform clerical duties, including checking inventory, stocking supplies, answering phones, order entry, result lookup, and report generation.
• Troubleshoot and resolve problems promptly.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
