About The Position
Highland Hospital is seeking a Lab Assistant to join the team. Hours are Monday-Friday, evening shift with an every 3rd weekend rotation. The Lab Assistant receives laboratory specimens and requisitions of all types and enters the information into the laboratory information system (LIS) and hospital information system (HIS).
Requirements
- Minimum High School Diploma/GED.
- Six months of clinical laboratory or healthcare experience.
- Medical terminology.
- Keyboarding.
- Microsoft Windows.
- Microsoft Outlook experience.
Nice To Haves
- Microsoft Windows preferred
- Microsoft Outlook experience recommended
Responsibilities
- Receives laboratory specimens and requisitions of all types.
- Enters specimen and requisition information into the laboratory information system (LIS) and hospital information system (HIS).
