About The Position

As our Lab Assistant, you will play a crucial role in solving diagnostic mysteries, bringing us one step closer to effectively treating patient illnesses and injuries. Every day you will utilize your expertise and our advanced technology to precisely collect, prepare, and process a diverse range of patient specimens (blood, urine, tissue, etc.) for various diagnostic tests. Requirements

• Lab Assistant/phlebotomist experience in an acute care hospital.
• 1 year experience.
• Phlebotomist Certification: CA Preferred

Responsibilities

• Precisely collect, prepare, and process a diverse range of patient specimens (blood, urine, tissue, etc.) for various diagnostic tests.
• Utilize expertise and advanced technology to perform laboratory tasks.
• Maintain a foundational understanding of laboratory procedures.
• Demonstrate meticulous attention to detail.
• Commit to continuous learning and professional development.
• Perform Job Specific Duties for all Lab Assistants (1.1 - 1.10).
• Perform Job Specific Duties for specific areas such as Phlebotomy (2.1 - 2.5), Processing (3.1 - 3.4), and Pre/Post Analytical Duties (4.1 - 4.7).
• Be evaluated based on direct observation of routine performance, monitoring entry of information in the Laboratory Information System, review of records and logs, direct observation of performance of instrument maintenance and function checks, assessment of technical and problem solving skills, and co-worker/customer feedback.
• Meet identified metrics evaluated by criteria that E = exceeds, M = meets, or DNM = Does not meet the desired performance.
