Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Strong reading, writing, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to operate and learn equipment and technology, including computers, automated systems, and laboratory instrumentation
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including frequent lifting (up to 40-50 lbs), standing, and repetitive motion in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work with biological specimens and dispose of biohazard materials in accordance with safety protocols.
Nice To Haves
- Experience working in healthcare, manufacturing, production, warehouse, logistics, fulfillment, specimen processing, or another fast-paced, process-driven environment is preferred but not required.
- 1-2 years of related experience in a clinical laboratory, healthcare support, manufacturing, production, warehouse, logistics, fulfillment, data entry, or automation-focused environment
- Experience working in a quality-driven, regulated, or process-oriented setting
Responsibilities
- Perform a vital part of the patient care process by ensuring specimens are properly processed, prepared, routed, and stored
- Work within a highly automated, fast-paced environment, including loading and unloading instrumentation and maintaining workflow efficiency
- Perform physically active tasks, including routine lifting of up to 40-50 lbs
- Support equipment operations by clearing consumables and assisting with the proper disposal of biohazard waste
- Follow established procedures and quality standards to ensure accurate processing and workflow efficiency
- Recognize when corrective action is needed and implement effective solutions
- Work in an environment with biological materials while adhering to PPE and safety requirements
- Champion safety, compliance, and quality standards
