About The Position
The Lab Aide is responsible for the initial handling of clinical lab specimens, including blood and body fluids, at Chestnut Hill Hospital. This involves verifying patient information, receiving specimens into the Laboratory Information System (LIS), and initiating pre-analytical processing before specimens are handed off for testing. The role may also involve assisting with selected patient testing, maintaining inventory, and ensuring the cleanliness of the lab. Additionally, the Lab Aide performs clerical duties and other assigned tasks.
