About The Position
Performs registration and accessioning of all pathology specimens in a high volume laboratory. This role requires accurate data entry, the ability to prioritize and adapt to changing demands, and maintaining focus to consistently deliver quality work within tight timeframes. The Lab Accessioner is responsible for same-day accessioning of specimens and must adhere to all department protocols and procedures. Reliability, dependability, and an excellent attendance history are essential. The position also involves monitoring and reporting any issues with incoming specimens immediately to management, and participating in special projects or assignments as requested.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Detail oriented
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to do detailed multi-tasks
- Ability to deal effectively and professionally with others
- Working knowledge of office equipment
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in a chemical or biological science preferred
