This position at Zones LLC is for an L3 IT Service Desk Engineer. Zones LLC is a Global Solution Provider of end-to-end IT solutions with an unmatched supply chain, specializing in Digital Workplace, Cloud & Data Center, Networking, Security, and Managed/Professional/Staffing services. Operating in over 120 countries, Zones has mastered the science of building digital infrastructures. This role is a 6-month contract to hire position located on-site in San Jose, California, with a pay rate of up to $39/hr and standard business hours (M-F, 8-5pm). The engineer will provide technical information to education and service teams, potentially assist with teaching and presenting technical hardware/software, and primarily handle escalation issues from the Service help desk. The role involves understanding root causes from an engineering and quality perspective, solving complex issues, and disseminating these solutions throughout service teams. The engineer will collaborate with Product Managers, architects, engineers, developers, logistics teams, quality teams, and service teams to bridge the gap between engineering and customer escalations, directly impacting product quality, service, and engineering excellence. The position requires supporting global customers and service teams, with the possibility of working swing and graveyard shifts, and potentially weekends depending on assignment. The engineer will also help build, automate, and maintain lab and test systems.
