Requirements

Current Missouri Level 1 Medication Aide (L1MA) certification in good standing
Must be recognized by DHSS.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to resident safety.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Nice To Haves

Active Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) preferred.
Experience in long-term or memory care strongly preferred.
Knowledge of dementia care practices and behavioral interventions is a plus.

Responsibilities

Administer medications accurately and safely under the supervision of a licensed nurse, in accordance with state regulations and facility policies
Monitor residents for medication side effects and report any concerns promptly
Provide direct care and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility
Support residents with cognitive impairments using patience, empathy, and effective communication techniques
Maintain accurate documentation of medication administration and resident care
Assist in creating a calm, structured, and engaging environment tailored to memory care needs
Respond promptly to resident needs and emergencies
Collaborate with nursing staff and interdisciplinary team members to ensure high-quality care
