About The Position

Global Operations Learning and Development (GOLD) Continuous Learning (CL) team is hiring a Learning & Development Specialist II to support front line leader post-onboarding programs within Worldwide Ops (WWOps). As a member of the CL team, the L&D Specialist II will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering learning solutions for exempt Leaders. This role will contribute to shaping the leadership development experience by creating and maintaining effective learning solutions that ensure leaders are well-equipped to support their team and the operation. This role will be based out of Seattle or Arlington. About the team Global Operations Learning and Development plays a crucial role in supporting Amazon's vision to become Earth's most customer and employee-centric company by driving workforce development across Worldwide Operations. GOLD serves front line employees, leaders, and executives, and PXT employees spanning across North America (NA), Europe (EU), and Rest of World (RoW). GOLD owns the onboarding and Amazonian cultural assimilation experience for all operations and PXT new joiners, and the continuous development journey throughout the end-to-end employee lifecycle. GOLD equips frontline leaders and their PXT partners with the necessary resources and skills to have meaningful employee interactions.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of learning and development or employee compliance training experience
  • 3+ years of project management experience
  • 2+ years of stakeholder management experience
  • 3+ years of classroom facilitation experience
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience formulating and implementing training and performance improvement strategies
  • Experience analyzing data to make business decisions

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with adult learning instructional design methods and best practices
  • Experience in talent management, organizational network analysis, and organizational design and development
  • Experience developing and implementing training programs
  • Experience working with large global teams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Partner with stakeholders to understand and define learning goals and problems for WWOps continuous learning programs.
  • Design and develop learning solutions that integrate with established client-team learning approaches.
  • Create and maintain high-quality learning content and curriculum.
  • Apply expertise in learning theories and learning technologies to develop effective solutions targeting desired behavior changes in learner populations.
  • Partner with stakeholders and managers to secure resources, scope efforts, and set project priorities.
  • Coordinate with subject matter experts to ensure content accuracy and relevance
  • Track and analyze program metrics to measure effectiveness and drive improvements.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders to incorporate feedback and continuously improve learning solutions.
  • Support quality assurance and user acceptance testing processes.
  • Provide clear and concise status updates to leadership.

Benefits

  • Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $57,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $123,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
