About The Position

Intramural Officials are responsible for effectively officiating intramural sports contests and the general safety of the participants. They must attend officials’ meeting and clinic(s). Must be knowledgeable in general Intramural policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Must be a currently enrolled student at the University of Kansas Medical Center.
• Student staff are expected to maintain current CPR/AED certification.

Responsibilities

• Pre-game court / field set up.
• Ensures fair and consistent officiating by applying sport-specific training and established standards.
• Verify score of all games worked with signature.
• Assist game monitors with assigning sportsmanship grades to each team.
• Assist officials / supervisors in any matters concerning game worked.
• Assist in training of new officials.
• Possible assistance with special events and field maintenance.
