About The Position

Kawasaki Tennessee, Inc. is seeking a Machining Night Shift (3rd Shift) Team Leader for its Aluminum Die Casting facility. This is a hands-on leadership position focused on guiding production teams to ensure machining operations run safely, efficiently, and at the highest quality standards. The role involves direct work with the production team and requires initiative, problem-solving skills, and leading by example.

Nice To Haves

• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Kanban experience is a plus
• Previous leadership experience is ideal

Responsibilities

• Leading and supporting the Machining Department team
• Monitoring production activities and helping the team meet department goals
• Ensuring Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are followed and helping improve them when needed
• Assisting with machine setups and tool changes
• Troubleshooting machines and assisting with repairs
• Performing preventative maintenance and routine machine checks
• Maintaining Safety and Quality standards
• Participating in continuous improvement and Kaizen activities, including defect investigations, cost-saving ideas, and process improvements
• Supporting additional operational needs as assigned
