About The Position

We are seeking a Korean-speaking legal assistant/paralegal to support our growing legal team. The ideal candidate for this position will work as part of a team to support attorneys in all matters related to litigation. Requirements

  • No experience is required
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Native or fluent in Korean (reading, speaking, and writing)
  • Excellent time-management and organizational skill
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word)

Nice To Haves

  • 1-2 years of experience in administrative or legal work is preferred
  • Experience in construction is a strong plus

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for Korean-speaking clients, ensuring seamless communication of complex legal strategies and case updates.
  • Translate sensitive legal documents and evidence from Korean to English with high linguistic precision to maintain evidentiary integrity.
  • Synthesize complex litigation developments into concise status reports and strategic summaries in Korean for executive-level clients.
  • Conduct deep-dive factual investigations and issue-spotting to assist counsel in developing core case theories and evidentiary frameworks.
  • Oversee large-scale document reviews (e-Discovery) and manage high-volume data sets to identify key evidence for trial.
  • Draft and prepare foundational legal instruments, including subpoenas, affidavits, deposition notices, and pretrial orders.
  • Act as a central liaison between co-counsel, expert witnesses, and court personnel to ensure procedural synchronization.
  • Draft and manage formal correspondence and "meet and confer" letters to opposing counsel.
  • Manage critical litigation calendars, ensuring strict adherence to court-mandated deadlines and statutes of limitation.
  • Engineer comprehensive litigation binders and organize physical/digital exhibits for high-stakes hearings and trials.
  • Coordinate depositions, witness appearances, and service of process, ensuring all logistical elements meet jurisdictional requirements.
  • Systematize the filing of pleadings, motions, and discovery responses within state and federal e-filing systems.
