Kitting Specialist

About The Position

The Kitting Specialist is responsible for ensuring that kits for production jobs are complete and accurate. Under general supervision, the specialist performs duties according to procedures and pre-established guidelines, learns to identify electronic components, and verifies that kit parts and quantities match the pick list. The role also involves maintaining records, following controls for customer-owned materials, keeping the work area orderly, notifying the group leader of non-conformances, and ensuring the quality and accuracy of one's work. Requirements

Good verbal and written communication skills.
High attention to detail.
Basic inspection skills.
Ability to perform job functions by relying on instructions and pre-established guidelines.
Ability to exercise independent judgment; creativity and good judgment are required.
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
1 to 2 years of experience in stockroom/kitting or a related area pertaining to printed circuit board assemblies.

Responsibilities

Ensure kits for production jobs are complete and accurate.
Identify various types of electronic components.
Verify that materials in kits have the correct part numbers and quantities matching the pick list.
Maintain records, including shortage sheets and check-in documents.
Follow internal control procedures for customer-owned property when handling consigned or customer-supplied items.
Keep the work area clean, neat, and orderly.
Notify the group leader if non-conformances occur.
Take responsibility for the quality and accuracy of own work.
