We are looking for an enthusiastic Operator in our Kitting Department to join our team. You’ll be part of a talented group that collaborates to deliver world class products to our customers. You will be responsible for filling cartons with assigned items and materials and keeping count of all cartons completed. You will also work alongside other operators and temporary help, and assist the Kitting Line Leads with training temps. Quality reviews of completed cartons and kits is made to ensure accuracy is within TBG’s quality standards. Upon completion of the job, the Operator is also responsible for keeping the kitting environment safe, clean, and debris free. Shifts available: Monday through Friday 8:30 am - 5:00 pm (Overtime Eligible) A variety of these traits will help land you this job, if you have: a high school diploma or GED previous work experience in a Print Kitting environment worked in a manufacturing environment worked in the printing industry On top of that you must: possess a thorough and organized approach to your work pay close attention to details on every project be able to read, write and understand English have basic computer skills be self-motivated, a fast learner, and show initiative to seek out customer and corporate needs complete projects accurately within deadlines, while meeting Company and Customer quality standards apply effective time management and self-management skills understand and maintain the confidential nature of company, employee and customer information be able to quickly move from one project to other while dealing with a very stressful deadline be flexible to change In this position you will: help train and work alongside temporary labor to complete kits assist the kitting line and/or hand application areas place kitting cartons on pallets / skids tag completed skids with applicable job information wrap pallets of completed kits keep accurate counts to ensure that all kits are completed fill cartons with assigned materials and items assist in all prep work prior to the kitting line perform Quality Control (QC) procedures to meet Company standards clean up the general Kitting area to ensure it is free of debris and safe perform miscellaneous projects and complete various tasks as requested by management To get hired at The Bernard Group, you MUST be: able to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing.
