About The Position

Responsible for supplying assigned Food and Beverage Department stations and maintaining cleanliness of assigned areas. This role involves detailed cleaning of heavy kitchen equipment, performing scheduled preventive maintenance cleaning, and working in a clean, sanitary, safe, and organized manner, abiding by all health and safety regulations. The position ensures compliance with management standards for the care and cleaning of heavy equipment, floor drains, vent-a-hoods, trash areas, and dock areas. It also requires understanding the use of proper chemicals on property (MSDS) and maintaining knowledge of sanitation, dishwashing, maintenance, and safety standards. The role includes cleaning walls and ceiling tiles, mopping and sweeping various areas, and removing empty bottles and trash. Additionally, it promotes outstanding guest services and participates as a team member with various departments to ensure an efficient operation, anticipating the needs of coworkers and guests. The position also aims to create an atmosphere of fun for casino guests and encourages mutual respect, dignity, and integrity among employees by setting positive examples.

Requirements

  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to perform basic math skills: addition, subtraction, division and multiplication.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear.
  • Frequently required to stand and walk.
  • Frequently required to climb ladders and work in high areas.
  • Frequently required to lift up to 50 lb., and occasionally required to lift up to 75 lb.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Applicant must successfully complete screening for essential job functions.

Nice To Haves

  • This position requires a Level 4 Gaming License.

Responsibilities

  • Works with Barbacks and Stewards in ensuring cleanliness and hygiene of work area, tabletops, floors and food and bar equipment are in accordance with casino standards.
  • Performs detailed cleaning of heavy kitchen equipment as assigned.
