About The Position
The Kitchen Utility Worker is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organization within the kitchen and serving areas. This role involves a variety of tasks to ensure food safety standards are met and to support the overall operation of the kitchen. The position requires a positive attitude and a commitment to providing excellent service to residents, families, and guests.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred.
- At least one (1) year of related work experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Wash and sanitize all dishes, pots and pans, food carts, and food preparation equipment (including ovens and ranges).
- Empty kitchen garbage/trash and sanitize containers as needed.
- Check-in, unpack, and store dry goods, cleaning supplies, and cold stock.
- Oversee and maintain food storage areas; when necessary, assist in the cleaning of food service areas and heavy equipment.
- Pull frozen meats to be used on following days and return unused items to freezer.
- Keeps temperature checks current throughout the kitchen.
- Sweep and mop kitchen floors.
- Maintain cleanliness of all walls in kitchen and serving areas.
- Assist with buffet set up and special functions.
- Demonstrate positive residents and facility quality care and service standards to residents’ families, and guest.
- Maintain a positive, cheerful attitude at all times.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
