KITCHEN UTILITY LEAD (FULL TIME)
About The Position
This position is for a full-time KITCHEN UTILITY LEAD. The role involves assisting shift supervisors and department directors in the daily functions of the department, maintaining a high level of quality, training, supporting, supervising, and interacting with team members. The lead ensures that all schedules are assigned and completed daily and sets a positive example through professional interactions with team members, customers, patients, and families. The position also requires performing other duties as assigned by a supervisor or director, actively participating in outstanding customer service, and maintaining respectful relationships. Contribution to team efforts, good customer interactions, and professionalism are key aspects of this role.
Requirements
- Must be able to lift 50+ pounds
- Must be able to stand for 8-hour shift
- The use of a medium weight cut gloves when handling or using knives, peelers, choppers, mandolins or cleaning a slicer.
- The use of oven mitts, fryer gloves or steamer gloves when handling hot pans from ovens, warmers or steamtables.
- The use of slip-resistant shoes and proper lifting techniques.
Responsibilities
- Delivers quality customer service to customers by providing one on one attention to the detail.
- Provide assignments and assistance to team members.
- Demonstrate proper use of personal protective equipment in all aspects of job performance.
- Relieve shift supervisor in times of absence.
- Adjust or cover schedules as needed during times of short staffing.
- Ensure that team member maintain set standards by conducting quality assurance surveys.
- Monitor and report any equipment issues or shortages.
- Conduct customer and patient surveys.
- Interact with patients/customers in an appropriate manner in relation to age based competencies.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
