About The Position

The Kitchen Utility Associate (Dishwasher) works in the community restaurant to ensure the culinary team has clean cookware for meal preparation and clean dishware for serving residents. The role supports residents’ dining experience by maintaining kitchen cleanliness and sanitation, storing cleaned items, removing waste, replenishing supplies, and assisting kitchen staff during meal preparation and service. The position is part-time and pays $16.80–$18 per hour, depending on experience.

Requirements

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
Ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds.
Comfort working in hot, humid, and wet environments.
Availability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent.
Food Handler Card and understanding of kitchen sanitation and food codes.
At least 6–12 months of experience in a dishwasher or kitchen support role.
Previous experience in senior living, healthcare, or hospitality settings.

Responsibilities

Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment according to established protocols.
Dry cleaned items and store them in their designated areas.
Keep the dishwashing area clean, including sweeping and mopping floors.
Remove trash, recycling, and food waste promptly.
Clean mats and garbage pails.
Clean and sanitize food preparation surfaces, storage areas, and kitchen equipment as needed.
Support kitchen staff during meal preparation and service by replenishing supplies and equipment.
Resupply chemicals, towel dispensers, and soap dispensers as required for sanitary operations.
