About The Position

The Kitchen Team Member position is responsible for preparing high-quality products and maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen. This role requires a genuine concern for quality control and representing the company in a manner consistent with its mission statement and policies. The position involves regular and consistent attendance and requires the team member to remain knowledgeable about all food menu items, specials, and promotions. They must ensure all menu items are prepared and served according to company recipes, portioning, and serving standards, and stay updated on recipe changes. Responsibilities include measuring and assembling ingredients, collaborating with other kitchen staff for timely meal preparation, plating food correctly, maintaining accurate food inventories, proper food storage at appropriate temperatures, rotating stock, restocking the kitchen, and ensuring the food prep area and kitchen are cleaned and sanitized. A "clean as you go" approach is expected throughout the shift. The role also involves labeling, dating, and signing all products per requirements, cooking a variety of foods to maintain flavor and appearance, completing daily kitchen logs (cooling & reheating, food temperatures, refrigerator/freezer temperatures, and sanitizer solution), and complying with all food safety rules, laws, protocols, and standards, including Health Department regulations. Additionally, the team member must understand the proper operation and cleaning of all related equipment, proper use of storerooms and cleaning materials per SDS, and knowledge of all opening, closing, and in-between show procedures, as well as emergency, evacuation, and robbery procedures. Ensuring guest satisfaction through positive interactions, prompt response to guest concerns, and knowledge of correct procedures is crucial. The role also requires adherence to the dress code, maintaining excellent personal hygiene, abiding by laws regarding breaks and meals, handling lost and found items per policy, SDS training, obtaining a food handler's card where applicable, and reporting any damages, maintenance issues, or suspicious activity to management.

Requirements

  • One plus years’ experience as a Cook in the restaurant industry
  • Ability to read and follow standardized recipes
  • Strong knowledge of proper food handling procedures
  • Completion of cast certification program as a cast member and as a concessionist or progress towards completion required
  • Completed any legally required state or local training and obtain the required certificate
  • Completed the Regal Entertainment Responsible Beverage Server training on Regal Online University
  • Possess good public speaking, listen effectively, and respond clearly and directly
  • Perform calculations with speed and accuracy and identify and correct errors
  • Identify problems, gather relevant data, and note possible causes of problems
  • Evaluate relevant information, recognize alternatives and reach conclusions based on evidence
  • Take action beyond what is necessarily called for
  • Perform under pressure and/or opposition
  • Possess excellent communication skills with customers, co-workers, and management
  • Establish goals, budget time and set priorities to achieve desired objectives
  • Able to work as part of a team in a busy kitchen atmosphere

Responsibilities

  • Remain knowledgeable on all food menu items, including specials and promotions

  • Abide by all federal and state laws with regards to breaks and/or meal periods
  • Ensure lost and found items are handled in accordance with REG policy
  • Must be SDS trained
  • Obtain food handlers card where applicable
  • Must report any and all damages or maintenance issues to management
  • Must report any and all suspicious activity, persons, or items to management immediately
