About The Position

Call Your Mother is the Jew-ish deli where Boca meets Brooklyn, grandma-level hospitality meets seriously good bagel sandwiches, and hard work meets face-melting vibes. Husband-and-wife team Andrew and Chef Dani built Call Your Mother around one simple idea: people deserve incredible food made by people who give an F. From our first farmers market stand in 2018, to shops across the DMV, Colorado, Chicago, and Philadelphia, we've grown by obsessing over the details and blasting the music and laughing along the way. Requirements

  • At least 1 year experience washing dishes, wielding a knife (extra safely), following recipes and crushing it in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
  • The right attitude and a strong baseline > a polished resume.
  • Morning person with weekend availability.
  • Ability to stay active.
  • Belief that speed matters—but quality matters more.
  • Preference for organized stations, sharp execution, and a clean kitchen.
  • Joy from feeding people real good food.
  • Treating strangers like neighbors.
  • Ability to work as part of a team without big egos and jump in when a teammate is in need.

Responsibilities

  • Build beautiful sandwiches that guests can't wait to eat.
  • Prep ingredients and set up stations for a smooth, successful service.
  • Follow recipes and standards that make every bite consistently delicious.
  • Keep ticket times fast without sacrificing quality.
  • Work in a clean, organized, and food-safe manner from open to close.
  • Keep the kitchen stocked and ready for whatever the rush brings.
  • Learn new stations and skills so every day stays fresh and interesting.
  • Adapt to menu changes, coaching, and always aim to get better.
  • Pitch in wherever your teammates need you most.
