About The Position

Impact Fire Services is seeking a Kitchen Suppression Technician to join their team. This role involves inspecting, maintaining, selling, and servicing various fire suppression components such as fire extinguishers, kitchen hood fire suppression systems, and emergency lights. The technician will be responsible for meeting weekly service and productivity goals, maintaining a clean and organized vehicle, and ensuring a safe working environment. Training will be provided, and the technician will learn applicable fire protection codes and obtain necessary licenses. The position requires working safely according to company procedures and protecting company equipment.

Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license and a current and sustainable good driving record.
  • A strong work ethic and professional appearance.
  • Ability to learn and comprehend general electrical safety procedures.
  • Ability to obtain certifications or licenses required for the state.
  • Successful completion of a drug test and pre-employment background screening.
  • MVR checks are required for all driving positions.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in Kitchen Hood Fire Suppression preferred but not required.
  • Mechanical background highly preferred.
  • Ability to sell, communicate effectively, and possess excellent customer service skills is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide inspections, maintenance, selling, and servicing of fire suppression components including fire extinguishers, kitchen hood fire suppression systems, and emergency lights.
  • Meet weekly service and productivity goals.
  • Maintain a clean and organized vehicle.
  • Ensure a safe environment for self, co-workers, and customers.
  • Manage time effectively to complete service calls with high quality.
  • Achieve weekly productivity goals.
  • Learn applicable fire protection codes and obtain necessary local and/or state licenses.
  • Protect and maintain company equipment.
  • Work in a safe manner as outlined by company safety procedures, including driving, personal protective equipment, and lockout/tag-out policies.
  • After-hours work may be necessary.
