About The Position

As part of the Kitchen Support Staff, you will play an important role in creating a positive camp experience by ensuring that campers and staff receive nutritious, safe, and enjoyable meals throughout the summer. You will be part of the team that serves 50+ campers and staff three meals a day each week in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment. Responsibilities may include food prep, receiving food shipments, meal preparation and service, and helping maintain the kitchen's cleanliness and sanitation. You will help create a welcoming dining experience that supports the health, energy, and overall success of the camp community. We are looking for staff who want to help prepare meals for our camp, where we serve 50+ campers and staff 3 meals a day each week. We know summer looks different for everyone—this role can be tailored to your availability and level of interest. Whether you’re looking to fully immerse yourself in the overnight camp experience or prefer a more flexible schedule, we’re open to finding the right fit. Possible role structures (open to other ideas): Full Time Kitchen Staff: help prepare all meals - includes room and board Flexible Role: Take full responsibility for at least one meal a day each day of the week

Requirements

  • Able to figure out or follow food preparation directions
  • Knowledge of safe food handling practices
  • Ability to accommodate dietary restrictions and allergens
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
  • Able to lift 30-50 lb and stand for extended periods of time
  • Be able to pass a background check
  • Comfortable working in a rustic camp setting
  • Able to be flexible and adapt to changes
  • First Aid/CPR Certification (or ability to obtain before camp)
  • Must be 18+ years old by the start date of camp.

  • Safe Serve Certification

Responsibilities

  • Help with daily meal prep, service, and clean-up (3 meals/day + Snacks)
