About The Position

The World Equestrian Center - Ocala is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Kitchen Supervisor to support the culinary leadership at Genievieve's; our elegant Italian dining concept located within the prestigious Equestrian Manor. This role is ideal for a hospitality professional with strong leadership abilities, a passion for Italian cuisine, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of kitchen operations. As Kitchen Supervisor, you will assist in overseeing daily back-of-house operations, ensuring consistency in food quality, safety, and team performance. Your role will be instrumental in upholding the World Equestrian Center's core values of Quality, Class, and Distinction. Requirements

  • Minimum of 4 years' experience in a supervisory role within an upscale or fine dining kitchen.
  • Strong understanding of culinary techniques, food safety standards, and kitchen operations.
  • Exceptional leadership and organizational skills.
  • Professional appearance and refined demeanor.
  • ServSafe Certification required.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Italian cuisine and private event execution preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Executive Chef and Sous Chef in managing daily kitchen operations with precision and professionalism.
  • Supervise kitchen staff to ensure adherence to recipes, portioning, and presentation standards.
  • Monitor food preparation and production to maintain consistency and quality.
  • Ensure compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
  • Assist with inventory management, including ordering, receiving, and proper storage of ingredients and supplies.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of all kitchen areas, including prep stations, storage, and equipment.
  • Train and mentor kitchen team members, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Assist in scheduling and labor management to meet business needs and budgetary goals.
  • Support the execution of private dining events, seasonal menus, and special occasions.
  • Communicate effectively with front-of-house and culinary teams to ensure smooth service flow.
