About The Position

The Kitchen Supervisor is responsible for overseeing day-to-day kitchen operations during assigned shifts, ensuring food quality, consistency, cleanliness, and efficiency. This role provides direct supervision of line-level team members, supports production, and ensures adherence to standards while maintaining a collaborative and positive work environment.

Requirements

  • Basic understanding of food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards.

  • Prior kitchen or culinary experience required.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain knowledge and ensure team compliance with departmental policies and procedures.
  • Supervise kitchen staff during assigned shifts, providing guidance, support, and direction.
  • Lead by example through active participation in food preparation and service.
  • Assign daily tasks and ensure proper execution of prep and service responsibilities.
  • Ensure all menu items are prepared according to recipes, portioning, and presentation standards.
  • Monitor line performance and food quality during service, addressing any issues in real time.
  • Conduct regular walk-throughs of kitchen areas to ensure cleanliness, organization, and adherence to safety standards.
  • Assist with inventory counts, product rotation, and proper storage procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and other departments, including front-of-house and catering teams.
  • Ensure all workstations are properly stocked and ready for service.
  • Support onboarding and training of new team members.
  • Report maintenance, equipment, or product issues to leadership in a timely manner.
  • Assist in minimizing waste and controlling food costs through proper handling and portioning.
  • Maintain consistent attendance and flexibility to work varied schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
