About The Position

Taher, Inc. is a family-owned and operated, chef-driven, food service management company specializing in K-12 school lunch management in our growing nationwide footprint. Taher, Inc. maintains a consistent presence in Food Service Management's Top 25 companies. This is a substitute kitchen position with day hours, offering no nights or weekends. The role involves assisting with food handling and serving, as well as utility tasks such as dishes, trash removal, and cleaning.

Requirements

Able to follow oral and written directions.
Able to reach, bend, stoop, and frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
Able to work in standing position for long periods of time.
Punctual and dependable.
Follows food safety requirements and guidelines.
Self-starter that can work independently.
Must pass criminal background check.

Responsibilities

Assist with food handling and serving.
Perform utility tasks such as dishes, trash removal, and cleaning.
Follow food safety rules and guidelines.
Follow procedures for storage and disposal of trash and transport it to designated areas.
Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
Maintain a clean work environment.
Assist other team members as needed.
Be on time.
Maintain assigned work station in a safe and sanitary condition.
Maintain acceptable standards of personal hygiene and comply with department dress code.
Perform other tasks as assigned by the leadership team.
