About The Position

Coury Hospitality has an amazing opportunity as a TEMPORARY Kitchen Steward. This role is on-site and temporary, specifically for Comic-Con in July. The Hard Rock Hotel San Diego is located in the heart of the Gaslamp Quarter and buzzes with energy during Comic-Con International. The hotel's banquets, rooftop parties, events, bars, and in-room dining will be exceptionally busy, requiring Temporary Kitchen Stewards to ensure a smooth flow, a spotless kitchen, and high vibes for thousands of guests. As a Temporary Kitchen Steward, you will be the behind-the-scenes rock star keeping our kitchens clean, organized, and running at full speed during the busiest week of the year. You will support our culinary and service teams by ensuring every pot, pan, and plate is ready to go, allowing our guests to fully enjoy the Hard Rock experience.

Requirements

• Previous stewarding, dishwashing, or back-of-house experience (preferred, but not required).
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Positive, dependable, team-player attitude.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
• Flexible availability during Comic-Con week, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment quickly and efficiently.
• Keep dish pits and back-of-house areas spotless and organized.
• Handle trash and recycling removal, ensuring workspaces are clean and safe.
• Restock and organize cleaning supplies and maintain chemical safety.
• Jump in to help teammates wherever needed to keep the operation smooth.
• Follow all safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards.
